WordPress websites

We build new WordPress sites, rebuild ones that have got hard to manage, and move sites onto WordPress from builders like Wix. Every project starts with a written scope that says what is built, which plugins it uses and who looks after it afterwards.

When WordPress fits

  • You want to choose where the site is hosted, and be able to move it later.
  • Several people will publish pages or posts, and they need different levels of access.
  • The features you need already exist as plugins, and someone will keep them updated.
  • You want your content in a form you can export.

WordPress is extended with themes and plugins, gives each person a role with its own permissions, and can import and export content. Where it is hosted and who maintains it are your choices. (WordPress.org)

When something else fits better

  • Selling products is the main job of the site. Compare Shopify first.
  • Nobody will own updates. WordPress core, themes and plugins need regular updates and backups, by your team or under a care plan.
  • Your Wix or Squarespace site already does what you need. A move costs time and money, and staying put can be the right call.
  • You need a portal, dashboard or custom application. That is custom development.

What we do on WordPress

A new WordPress site
An existing theme set up for you or a custom design, with your pages, forms and tracking, built from a written scope.
Rebuild or takeover
For a WordPress site someone else built. We review the theme, plugins, hosting and backups first, then recommend fixing it, rebuilding it or moving it.
Moving onto WordPress

What the written scope answers

You get these answers, with a price and timeline, before any work starts.

  • Which pages and templates the site needs, and who writes the content.
  • Which theme and plugins it uses, and what each one is for.
  • Where it is hosted and who pays for hosting.
  • Who installs updates and keeps backups after launch.

Prices shown are non-binding planning estimates for budgeting only. They are not guaranteed pricing, a contractual offer, or a promise to perform work for the listed amount. Final scope, timeline, deliverables, and pricing require a discovery conversation, review of project materials and technical requirements, a written proposal or statement of work, and a signed agreement. Third-party costs, ad spend, taxes, rush work, integrations, content readiness, revisions, and technical complexity can change the final price.

Questions

Do you only build on WordPress?

No. We also build sites with Next.js and a headless CMS, and online stores on Shopify. The written scope recommends a platform based on what the site needs to do and who will edit it.

Who hosts the site?

You choose. Hosting is a third-party cost and isn't included unless the proposal lists it. We can recommend options during scoping.

Can you take over a WordPress site someone else built?

Usually, after a review of the theme, plugins, hosting and backups. We then tell you whether to keep it, fix it or rebuild it. Ongoing work runs under a CARE plan.

How long does a WordPress site take?

It depends on the number of pages, how ready the content is and which features are needed. The written proposal states the timeline before any work starts.
